Listen up City Lakers…
Every song on Threads of Memory comes from a real place. Moments of heartbreak, reflection, and hard-won clarity. If you take a moment to look deeper into the lyrics, you might find pieces of your own story hidden in them too. These aren’t just songs, they’re snapshots of emotion, chapters of healing, and reminders that you’re not alone in what you’re feeling. So take a listen, sit with the words, and see what they mean to you.
Fix This Mess: This one’s about that gut-wrenching moment when someone walks away and you're left trying to figure out how to keep going. It’s messy, emotional, and honest. We’re just trying to make sense of heartbreak while holding onto a bit of hope.
Streetlights: Probably the heaviest one (mentally) on the EP. It tells the story of loss through a car crash, and it’s full of that helpless, sinking feeling when you know something’s already gone but your heart hasn’t caught up yet.
Toxic Creation: This one’s about being stuck in something you know is bad for you. A toxic relationship. But not being able to fully let go right away, It’s angry, vulnerable, and kind of cathartic.
At My Door: This one’s quiet and aching, about waiting for someone who’s probably not coming back. It’s that stuck feeling, when you can’t quite move forward because you’re still holding on to the hope of closure.
Down By The Willow: It’s a soft, reflective track about remembering love that once felt safe and peaceful. That kind of memory that sneaks up on you and makes you wonder if maybe, just maybe, it could come back.
